Inside the Perimeter there are hardly any dedicated RV and boat storage lots, so most Atlanta owners store out toward the lakes or along the interstates. The biggest cluster is by Lake Lanier near Buford. North Harbor and Hidden Harbor are on McEver Rd and Buford Dam Rd, ParcRV is on Holiday Rd less than a mile from Lake Lanier Islands, Weaver and Ronald Reagan RV Storage are in Cumming, and Bethel Boat & RV is on the Forsyth/Hall line. Up I-75 toward Lake Allatoona you'll find Acworth Boat & RV, A & A, Red Top Mountain Boat & RV, Allatoona Boat & RV in Woodstock and Marine Depot by exit 290 in Cartersville. Closer in are The RV Loft (indoor) and Marietta Outdoor Storage in Marietta. On the south and east sides there are U-Haul and Southern RV in McDonough, Conyers Storage and A-Model in Loganville. Out west, WG Covered RV Storage is off I-20 in Villa Rica and Coweta Storage is in Newnan.
Here are the rates posted on operator websites when we checked in October 2026. Uncovered spaces mostly cost about $66-$150 a month. Bethel ran $66-$145 by size, A & A $70-$130 by length, Hidden Harbor $90-$125+, Acworth Boat & RV a flat $115, and WG $150 for a 50 ft space. Covered spaces for most rigs ran about $130-$350: North Harbor $150-$280, Hidden Harbor $150-$260, U-Haul McDonough $174.95-$234.95 with power for 25-45 ft (a 12x10 is $94.95), and WG $250-$350 up to 67 ft. Enclosed units cost $320 at Weaver and $330 for North Harbor's premium space, and The RV Loft charges $14 per linear foot. ParcRV, Ronald Reagan, A-Model and Coweta Storage don't post rates, so you'll need to call them.

How to choose RV or boat storage
- Measure first. Use overall length including the hitch/tongue and any rear rack, and height including A/C units, antennas or a boat tower. Ask whether the listed space size is the usable length.
- Covered vs. enclosed vs. open. A canopy blocks sun and hail; an enclosed garage also blocks dust, wind and prying eyes. Decide based on how long the rig sits and what you'd otherwise spend on covers and repairs.
- Power. “Electric” usually means a low-amp outlet for a battery tender, not a full hookup. Ask about amperage, extra fees, and whether running a fridge or A/C is allowed.
- Access. Check gate hours against when you actually leave for trips. Early departures and late returns matter.
- Security. Look for perimeter fencing, coded entry and exit, cameras that record, lighting and an on-site manager. Ask what their insurance requires of you.
- Maneuvering. Pull-through spaces and wide paved aisles make big rigs and solo parking much easier.
- Extras. Dump station, water fill, wash bay, air and propane can save a stop on every trip.
- Contract terms. Ask about minimum terms, admin fees, deposits, required insurance, documents (registration/title) and how rate increases work.
- Waitlists. Popular covered sizes can sell out. Ask to be added to a waitlist and when spaces usually open up.
Atlanta-specific tips
- Boating on Lake Lanier? Hidden Harbor says it's within 5 miles of 6-8 ramps on the lake's south end, North Harbor lists 8-10 ramps within 5 miles, ParcRV is under a mile from Lake Lanier Islands, Weaver is a quarter mile from parks and ramps, and Bethel says its ramps are about 3 minutes away. Covered spaces near the lake fill up, so check availability early in spring.
- For Lake Allatoona, Marine Depot in Cartersville is 1.5 miles from the Cooper's Branch, Bartow County and McKaskey Creek ramps. It keeps a wait list and has no uncovered spaces for boats 30 ft and over. Red Top Mountain Boat & RV, A & A and Acworth Boat & RV are all in Acworth, and Allatoona Boat & RV in Woodstock showed every size waitlisted online.
- Want power to keep batteries charged? Hidden Harbor includes power in every covered space. WG gives covered spaces free 20-amp power, U-Haul McDonough has 20-amp power in each covered space, and ParcRV says most sites have power at no extra charge (110V up to 50 amp). Weaver charges $5 a month for 15A and $25 for 30A, and The RV Loft and Southern RV each charge $35 a month.
- Big motorhomes: WG in Villa Rica rents covered 12 ft wide spaces with 14 ft clearance up to 67 ft long. North Harbor, Hidden Harbor, Weaver, Bethel and Ronald Reagan take rigs up to about 50 ft, though North Harbor and Hidden Harbor say it depends on height. ParcRV takes RVs up to 45 ft.
- For fully enclosed storage, look at The RV Loft in Marietta (indoor, by appointment), Weaver's 46 enclosed units in Cumming, and Coweta Storage's 15x50 enclosed units in Newnan.
- Watch the extra fees and paperwork. Red Top adds a $7.50 monthly admin fee, and ParcRV charges $25 to stage your rig for pickup. WG and Allatoona Boat & RV want proof of ownership, insurance and a driver's license before they give you a gate code. Weaver charges 11 months for a prepaid year.

What's the difference between covered, enclosed and outdoor storage?
Outdoor (open) spaces are a paved or gravel parking spot. Covered spaces add a roof (canopy) but are open on the sides. Enclosed or indoor storage is a garage-style unit with walls and a door, sometimes temperature-controlled. Protection and price generally rise in that order.
Can I keep my RV plugged in?
Some facilities offer power at the space, usually low-amp outlets meant for battery tenders/trickle chargers, not full hookups. Use the “Electric” filter, then ask the facility what amperage is provided and whether there's an extra fee.
Do RV storage facilities have waitlists?
Popular sizes (especially long covered spaces) can sell out. Where an operator states limited availability or a waitlist, we note it in the listing. Otherwise call to ask whether there is a waitlist for your size.
